Makeup Monday- Packing My Zpalette For Travel

My Zpalette finally came in the mail and I couldn't wait to open it and figure out what to keep in it  I went with the hot pink large palette.  The way that I organized it I am able to fit 20 MAC eye shadows and 3 MAC blushes.

This is an overview of what the palette looks like.

After I got the colors organized I used Word to make a template.

I tend to lean towards pretty neutral colors.

There are a couple of colors that I wear by themselves.

Naked Lunch- I like to wear a colorful eye liner with this shadow.  Either navy or purple.

Mulch- I like to wear black liner with this shadow.

Woodwinked- I wear this with brown liner.

Post Haste- I like to run this over my black liner with Naked Lunch on the lid.

Patina- This shadow works well with brown or black liner.

I also organized this palette so that I can do a couple of different smokey eye looks.  I always use MAC Paintpot in Nubile to prime my eyelids.

Number 1- Dark, Night Time Smokey Eye

I apply Shroom to the inner corner of my eye and under my brow bone.

I apply Naked Lunch to the center of my lid.

I apply Wedge above my crease as my transition color.

I apply Swiss Chocolate to the crease.

As well as Sable.  I like the way that these colors blend together in the crease.

I use Sketch in the small section of the outer V of my lid.

I apply black pencil liner to the top lash line and set it with Black Tied halfway across.

I set the outer half and bottom lash line with Beauty Marked shadow.

Don't forget the mascara for any of these looks either...

Number 2- Quick, Casual Smokey Eye

Again I apply Shroom to the inner corner and brow bone.

Apply Naked Lunch to the lid.

I run Soft Brown above my crease as the transition shade.

I use Blackberry in the crease.

I use Folie in the outer v.

I line my eyes with black pencil liner and smudge it out with Carbon shadow.

Number 3- Bluish Grey Smokey Eye

Shroom in the inner corner and on the brow bone.

Naked Lunch on the lid.

Soba above the crease as the transition shade.

Print in the crease.

Satin Taupe on top of Print in the crease also.

Concrete in the outer v.

And carbon on top of black pencil liner.

And I chose 3 blushes to put in the palette.  All of these blushes are very blendable and easy to build up if you feel more color is necessary,

I hope everyone found this blog helpful.  Have a great week!

Fun Friday- Weeklong Randomness- 11-7-14

I feel asleep reading last night.  And when I say fell asleep I mean that I nodded off and hit myself in the face with my iPad which woke me up.  No Bueno...

I'd like to take the time to acknowledge the person(s) that pick up my phone at work at take pictures.  Yeah, I lock my phone so no one can look through it but my camera is still accessible from my home screen.  No names need to be revealed.  The pictures speak for themselves.

Doesn't there seem to be a reoccurring theme here?  Hmmm...

Anyhoo...  I finally got my greedy paws on my long awaited fall time treat.

That's right people, they exist, and they are scrumptious.  I have only been able to find them in one store in Las Vegas and believe me, I was on the look out.

Chris celebrated his birthday last weekend.  His 30th to be exact and he finally got a dirt bike.

He's been wanting one for a while and he did a ton of research and looking before he decided to get this one.  We were planning on taking it out to the desert last weekend but we had to take an unexpected trip out of town.  While the circumstances were unfortunate the scenery was absolutely beautiful.

We pulled over after we went over the Hoover Damn and I took this picture.  I thought the sunset looked really pretty at this point.

Once we got back into the car and started driving again that beautiful sunset then turned even more amazing.  One thing my mom always said growing up was to always appreciate the sunsets because you never know when the last time you get to look at one will be.  They really are an example of how stunning the world around us can be.

So we're on the road, south of Flagstaff, Az and I'm reading on my iPad while Chris is driving.  I'm not really paying attention until I hear Chris go "Woah!"  I look over and he has this weird look on his face.  He then tells me "Uhh, I hit a bird."  We're on the freeway and apparently the bird flew in front of the car.  I think "Oh well, one less bird in the world."  (I have an irrational fear of birds.)  I completely forget about it until we get to our destination and someone says "So, you hit Tweety?"  Which I find odd because this person literally just walked in the house.  My reply "Yeah, did Chris text you?"

NOPE!

THE BIRD WAS STUCK TO THE FRONT OF MY FREAKING CAR!!!

I flipped out immediately and after some fun at my expense, Chris went and disposed of the dead bird.

We ended up staying the weekend in Sedona and it was gorgeous there.

So pretty.

We went out for breakfast one morning and someone ordered a cinnamon roll.  The thing was huge.  And super yummy.  I just had a bite though because my omelet was awesome.

Soo, what else is new?

Chris and I got a 1000 piece puzzle of Noah's Ark at Costco.  We had it done in 4 days.  It was nice to do something together in the evenings other then watch TV.  We have another one of New York City to do.  We will probably start that one next week.

I hope everyone is having a great week.  Comment down below and let me know what your weekend plans are.

Thoughtful Thursday- 11-6-14

I've been praying a lot more lately.  I've tried to make a point to do it whenever I have a free moment.  I'm not afraid to admit that I've had conversations with God.  He's my counselor, my conscience, and my biggest supporter.  I am constantly thanking Him for what he is doing in my life.  I'm also not perfect and talk to Him about the areas in my life where I have fallen short.  I know that I am a sinner and I have found forgiveness of sins in Jesus.  That is an amazing thing.

With that being said, let's look at today's question.

November 6th- If you could get rid of one of your habits, what would it be?

I often have fits of laziness.  I know that I have things that need to be done but sometimes I'm just like "Meh.  I'll do it later."  Then I find myself completely overwhelmed when I have an entire day of stuff to do non-stop.  I yell at myself.  "Why didn't I do some of this stuff earlier?"  Oh, that's right, I got really involved in reading a book or I just HAD to watch 4 episodes of a TV show I've already seen.  Laziness is one of the things that bothers me most about myself.

Annnd, Currently I'm...

Reading-  Wild by Cheryl Strayed.  It's a great book so far.  It's very deep and sometimes too depressing to read so I have to put it down and do something else for a bit before coming back to it.  There are also parts that are really funny. I'm sure you could imagine how large the backpack of a woman would be who is hiking 1,100 miles alone.  The passage where she describes putting her fully loaded pack on for the first time is hilarious.  Having to sit on the floor in front of the pack, back into it, fasten the straps, get onto her knees, crawl to the swamp cooler in the wall of her motel room and use it for leverage to stand up only to rip the faceplate off of it.  I LAUGHED HARD!

Playing-  Music while I blog.

Watching-  I started watching Parks & Rec with Chris at his suggestion.  I'm really enjoying it.

Listening To-  My November 2014 Playlist on iTunes.  It's got over 400 songs on it so I haven't heard the same song twice yet.  Infinity by The XX is playing right now.

Working On-  This blog post.  I also have a lot of stuff that I need to get done today.  I'll be working on a lot throughout the day.

Eating-  (Drinking) coffee again.  Plain black coffee K- Cup with Heath Bar creamer.

Wanting-  Time to pass faster.  Some exciting things are going on at the end of this month and I can't wait!

Needing-  To go grocery shopping for a special meal.  My church's Marriage Dinner is this Saturday night and the theme is breakfast for dinner.  I'll be making breakfast taquitos with Chris' help.  I'll probably have to double or even triple the recipe.

Loving-  The smell in my house right now.  I normally have two candles burning.  One in my kitchen and one in my bedroom.  Right now I have Leaves burning in the kitchen and Sweater Weather in my bedroom.  These are my two favorite fall candles from Bath and Body Works.

Thinking-  About the 20% off sale at Sephora starting today.  I really want to go but I really don't need to.  Maybe I'll go and do some early Christmas shopping for Chris.  Maybe...

Feeling-  Tired.  I had a really eventful weekend and I've been pretty exhausted.  I just want to go to bed and sleep for another 8 or so hours.  But, I can't.  I have too much stuff that needs to be done.

Celebrating-  A new job opportunity for Chris.

Grateful For-  My husband, Chris supporting me in everything that I do.  He's been a major help around the house lately.  I was telling him about all the things I need to get done today and when I came home yesterday he had done two of the tasks for me and he helped cook dinner on Tuesday night.  He really is an amazing man.

Chris at the Grand Canyon earlier this year.

I hope everyone is having a great week.  Comment down below and let me know what you're currently doing.
