Fun Friday- Weeklong Randomness

Okay, so I started my week on a high note.  The Broncos won against the Chiefs and I have to admit that I was scared towards the end of the game.  The kind of scared that makes me stand up and yell at the TV as if the refs can hear me.  I have been a Broncos fan for as long as I can remember watching football.  When people see me wearing my Broncos shirts during football season they immediately ask me if I'm from Colorado.  Are all Broncos fan supposed to hail from Colorado?  Did I miss that memo?  People are especially confused when I tell them that I'm not from Colorado, I'm from Southern California.

The story goes like this...  My dad was a Los Angeles Raiders fan.  When they left L.A. and went to Oakland he vowed never to cheer for them again.  He went to the opposite end of the spectrum and rooted for their biggest opponent, the Denver Broncos.  I remember sitting next to my dad when the Broncos won the Superbowl during the 97' season.  One of his friends said "Oh, now Elway can retire at the top of his game."  My dad responded "Nah, he'll come back and do all of this again next year."  And he did.

If I had one football wish it would be for Eric Decker to return to the Broncos.  Sigh...  He's soo dreamy.

I spent a lot of my time on Sunday night planning my menu for the coming week. Here's how it turned out.

Monday- Quinoa Crusted Baked Chicken Parmesan
Tuesday- Salisbury Steak with Garlic Parmesan Mashed Potatoes
Wednesday- Monterey Chicken
Thursday- Turkey Meatballs with Spicy Tomato Sauce, Fresh Basil and Smoked Mozzarella Cheese over Whole Wheat Pasta
Friday- Creamy Chicken Soup
Saturday- Tri-Tip
Sunday- Chicken Casserole

Monday's meal didn't happen.  I was too hungry to cook.  I knew that this meal was going to take close to 90 minutes to prepare and I couldn't wait that long to eat.  I'll give it another try again soon.

I was finally able to restock my K-CUPS on Wednesday afternoon.  I always buy a variety because I'm the type of person that starts to hate something if I have it too often.  But I also make myself to drink every cup out of the organizer before I can restock it.  That way I'm not able to drink my favorite every day.  I buy a box from Bed Bath & Beyond that has 4 different flavors in it.  Plus, I grab one specialty box.  I also buy hibiscus tea from Target and use that to make my version of Starbucks' Passion Tea Lemonade.  And I get my plain coffee from Costco.

This is what it looked like after I got it stocked.

I have a slight coffee addiction.

I met Chris for lunch today at Tommy Bahama's before running some errands.  Let me just say, their crab bisque... scrumdiddilyumcious.

After that, I hit up Costco.  I swear I'm there every week.  I also think that it is physically impossible to get out of there without spending at least $100.

Then, I came home and made dinner for tonight and made the casserole for Sunday night's dinner all while marathoning Grey's Anatomy.  I started from the very first episode on Netflix.  I can't find anything else to watch right now.  Suggestions?

Tomorrow, the plan is to clean the house.  Ugh...  I love my house but I absolutely hate cleaning it.  It just takes forever.  I spent a whole hour wiping down my counter tops in the kitchen this morning.  Granted, it was an intense wipe down where each and every single item sitting on my counters was moved.  At least 20 Clorox wipes donated their lives to the cause.  I do have a lot of counter space and that comes in handy when cooking.  I should stop complaining and count my blessings.  I also thank God every evening for Chris who cleans up my messes after I cook.  Let's look at today's disaster.

I already put all the ingredients I used for the soup away.  Could you imagine how much worse it was?

Let's take a moment to admire the cuteness that is my doggies.

Well, I hope everyone has a great and safe weekend.  Say a prayer for my Broncos this Sunday.  They are playing the Seahawks and I'd rather not a have a repeat of the Superbowl.

Here's a picture of me that morning before the Superbowl.  I was sooo excited.

And then this happened...

That's totally what happened...  right?  ;)

Comment down below and tell me what your plans are for this weekend.
